ZIM upgrades its Mediterranean - South America Services - Improved service will offer shorter transit time and improved port coverage


ZIM announced a significant enhancement of its New Sirius Service,
connecting the Mediterranean with the East Coast of South America.

The new deployment offers improved transit times and port coverage. The New
Sirius Service will connect to other Mediterranean and South American ports
through a network of feeder services.

The improved New Sirius Service, which starts operating at the beginning of
March 2008 on a weekly basis, includes two separate slings.

The first, New Sirius Service (NSU), operates 6 X 2500 TEU's vessels, with
the following route: Barcelona (Spain) - Vado Ligure (Italy) - Livorno (Italy) - Fos sur Mer (France) - Valencia (Spain) - Rio De Janeiro (Brazil) - Santos (Brazil) - Buenos Aires (Argentina) - Montevideo (Uruguay) - Santos (Brazil) - Rio De Janeiro (Brazil) - Pecem (Brazil) - Barcelona (Spain).

The second sling, New Sirius South America Service 2 (NS2), operates 6 X
2,800 TEU's vessels on a weekly basis in the following route: Genoa (Italy) - Livorno (Italy) - Marsaxlokk (Malta) - Dakar (Senegal) - Buenos Aires
(Argentina) - Rio Grande (Brazil) - Sao Francisco Do Sul (Brazil) - Santos
(Brazil) - Valencia (Spain) - Genoa (Italy)
