With effect from 1 January 2007, the Hamburg Süd shipping group will be
replacing its brand Ybarra y Cía. Sudamérica S.A. (Ybarra Sud) with the
brand Hamburg Süd Iberia S.A., in order to present itself worldwide under
the unified Hamburg Süd brand.

On 31 December 2005, Hamburg Süd took over the business activities of the
long-established Spanish shipping company, in whose operations it had been
involved since the end of the 80s on the basis of a joint venture. Ybarra
Sud is recognised as a specialist in the trade between the western
Mediterranean and South America East Coast.

Through brand consolidation Hamburg Süd is pursuing the goal of linking the
entire range of its operations as closely as possible, taking advantage of
synergies and, as a result, achieving added value in its services for its
customers. The change of name from Ybarra Sud to Hamburg Süd therefore takes
place with absolutely no break in continuity: contacts, postal address,
telephone and fax numbers and email address remain the same.
