Hanjin Shipping offer a new Asia-South America service called NSX (New South America Asia Express) by exchanging slots with Evergreen.
The NSX is a regular service and replaces FAS (Far East Asia-Asia-South America) that used to provide service for the Asia-Latin America trade by taking slots from MOL.
The NSX drops Paranagua and Rio De Janeiro and adds Ningbo and Kaohsiung to its port rotation. With less total calls and removed duplicate calls, the new service offers shorter transit time.
The new service schedule starts from Shanghai connecting Ningbo, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Yantian (Shenzhen), Singapore to Buenos Aires, Montevideo, and Santos.
Hanjin Shipping will further seek to expand its service network and add new service routes in South America where economic growth is slowly driving up the volume.
