Agrenco Group’s to manage shipping grains from a port terminal in Entre Rios province - Argentina

Agrenco Group’s decided to enhance its operations in South America by shipping grains from a port terminal in Entre Rios, Argentine, to European and Asian markets.

The terminal is located at the Port of Del Guazú and is part of Agrenco’s strategy for the South American continent. It also involves an agreement with America Latina Logistic – ALL – the largest logistic company in Latin America - in order to ship grains exclusively originated from producing areas in Argentine, Paraguay and Bolivia through the Port Terminal of Del Guazu, on the Parana River.

Antonio Iafelice, CEO of Agrenco Group, intends to invest US$ 42 million in the next couple of years. “The deal will allow us to double our grain’s outflow capacity in the region”, says Iafelice.

The terminal that is still under construction and should be delivered next year was rented to Agrenco by the argentinean company Delta Dock. These operations involve rebuilding warehouses along the railway and the rental of 600 wagons. With the terminal and the railway in operation, the company expects to reach a shipment volume of 3 million tons of soybeans, soymeal, sorghum and corn – including Bolivia, where Agrenco should enhance its operations.

These new operations will allow Agrenco to strength its position in Latin America, where at the moment it ships around 14 million tons of grains.
