CSAV - Compañía Sud Americana de Vapores announced the launching of a new service to Middle East.


CSAV announced it's new service to Middle East named Marco Polo Service, which connects Durban/South Africa to East Africa and Middle East with own vessels.

Port rotation will be: Cape Town, Durban, Jebel Ali, Mombasa, Dar Es Salaam, Cape Town. Cargoes can be delivered to many other destinations with connection at Jebel Ali, like Iran, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar.

This new weekly service will offer efficient transit time from East Coast South America and RSA to Middle East. CSAV offers now this service to Middle East, supported by the service ASAX for the leg between the ECSA East Coast South America with Africa and Middle East and an own looping called Marco Polo.

CSAV - Compañía Sud Americana de Vapores is considered the most global company in Latin America, with 133 year of experience, among the 12 most important shipping companies in the world, operates 128 vessels. Has presence in Europe, America, Asia and Africa and counts with a network of 131 agencies around the world, considering 14 in China and 11 in India.

Nowadays, CSAV is working on a project to incorporate 22 new vessels to the actual fleet with an investment of US$ 1 billion until the end of 2007.
