American Airlines Cargo announces Booking Availability on CPS - Cargo Portal Services at www.CargoPortalServices.com.

American Airlines Cargo Division announced that online booking functionality is now live on Cargo Portal Services (CPS), a multi-carrier electronic booking and shipment management service for the air cargo
industry, supported by Unisys.

American's participation in CPS will provide its air cargo customers with an additional Web-based portal to access the 6.1 billion pounds of American Airlines Cargo capacity and nearly 200,000 flights available annually. CPS will offer bookings on all of American's cargo products.

"Going live on CPS signifies an important milestone in the evolution of our e-commerce strategy," said Dave Brooks - President of American Airlines Cargo Division. "Our goal has been to enable customer self-sufficiency through online booking and shipment management solutions that address the specific needs of each customer segment, and we are delighted to now offer our customers three channels for online cargo bookings. We're pleased that the forwarding industry has been so supportive of our decision to join CPS."

In addition to CPS, American Airlines Cargo provides e-business channels through its AACargo.com Web site, and through London-based Global Freight Exchange (GF-X). These e-business channels provide the opportunity to save customers money by reducing transactions costs and other expenses.

American Airlines Cargo SM, a division of American Airlines, Inc., the world's largest airline, provides over 100 million pounds of weekly cargo lift capacity to major cities in the United States, Europe, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, Latin America and Asia. CPS -Cargo Portal Services is an electronic booking and Cargo 2000-accredited shipment management service for the air cargo industry. It was designed in cooperation with major carriers and forwarders, and is operated by Unisys. CPS serves the global cargo networks of American Airlines, Air Canada, Austrian Airlines, KLM, Northwest Airlines and United Airlines. Continental Airlines is in the process of going live on the service.

CPS is free for forwarders, both through the public Internet (www.CargoPortalServices.com) and through secure system-to-system connections. Over 5,500 branch offices of 2,500 forwarder companies in 95
countries are on-line with CPS.
