Lufthansa Cargo restructures handling and sales activities outside Germany.
Lufthansa Cargo is streamlining the organisation of its handling and sales activities outside Germany. In future, the respective area managers will be responsible for both these functions. In Germany, however, Handling and Sales will remain separate organisational units. Executive Board names area managers for Germany, Europe/Africa, the Americas and Asia.
As part of the organisational restructuring, Jürgen Siebenrock has been named the new Vice President Sales Germany. Further, the Lufthansa Cargo Executive Board has appointed J. Florian Pfaff Vice President Area Management Europe/Africa. Klaus Holler becomes Vice President Area Management Americas, and Martin Schlingensiepen Vice President Area Management Asia/Pacific.
As the new Vice President Global Sales Steering, Helge Krüger-Lorenzen will manage Lufthansa Cargo's worldwide sales activities. The five executive managers will report direct to Dr. Andreas Otto, Executive Board member responsible for Marketing and Sales.
"By integrating many of the tasks that were previously dealt with at headquarters - such as global key account management - into the individual areas we are strengthening our ties to the customer and increasing the responsibility of the area managers. The introduction of a dedicated area management for the German market will also enable us to raise our profile as a national carrier and further expand our leading market position," Dr. Andreas Otto said.
