Kuehne + Nagel Named "Seafreight Forwarder of the Year".
At the Asia Logistics Awards Gala Dinner 2005 held in Shanghai, China, Kuehne + Nagel was honoured with the "Seafreight Forwarder of the Year" award. For the second time the logistics provider has won this prestigious title, reaffirming its regional leadership in the seafreight sector.
The annual event is organised by the Infoma Group, publisher of Lloyd's Freight Transport Buyer Asia (FTB Asia). Through votes cast by readers of FTB Asia as well as the Asian readership of Containerisation International and International Freighting Weekly, five finalists were shortlisted in each category. An independent panel of judges, comprising leading industry practitioners and scholars, selected the winners in the final stage.
The judging criteria for the "Seafreight Forwarder of the Year" Award are: standard of customer service; relationship with shipping lines; flexibility of service; cost and value for money; size of network; range of value-added services; launch/upgrade of new products and services during the last 12 months.
"We are pleased to gain recognition from the logistics industry once again for conferring us with such an esteemed award," commented Andy Weber, Managing Director of Kuehne + Nagel (Asia Pacific) Management Ltd.
The functionality of information products brought together under the brandname KN Login, Kuehne + Nagel's advanced tracking and tracing system, has been significantly expanded.
