CaroTrans International, Inc., begins weekly, all-water, direct service Houston to Buenos Aires and Santos.
CaroTrans International, Inc., a New Jersey-based, non-vessel operating common carrier has launched two new southbound consolidation services, directly linking Houston to Buenos Aires, Argentina and Santos, Brazil. The services feature a transit time of 22 days to Santos and 25 days to Buenos Aires.
CaroTrans has offered service to these points before, but the previous service routed Houston cargo to Miami for consolidation and vessel sailing.
According to John Flynn, CaroTrans International's Houston Branch Manager, "We have seen an increased booking volume on all our South American destinations. When the market warrants it, we prefer to offer our customers direct service, which provides for faster and more reliable scheduling, with less re-handling of cargo."
The new weekly direct services feature a Wednesday cutoff in Houston.
CaroTrans International offer a full range of logistics services, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mainfreight International Ltd., founded in 1978.
