MARTINAIR CARGO changes flight schedule - optimizes winter schedule to Lima and Buenos Aires between other destinations.
Martinair Cargo will be adjusting its flight schedule for destinations in North and South America and Africa.
The number of frequencies to Johannesburg (South Africa) and Nairobi (Kenya) in Africa will be raised from four to five per week.
While for North America the number of frequencies to Los Angeles will be expanded to three per week, additional MD-11 capacity will be deployed for Lima (Peru) and Buenos Aires (Argentina). Services to Dallas/Fort Worth and Houston, Texas will be suspended as of 3 November 05. Guadalajara (Mexico) will also be taken off the schedule effective September 14, 2005.
These network changes follow the outcome of an extensive study into optimizing deployment of Martinair's MD-11 fleet, taking into account fluctuations in market demand. Reducing the number of stopovers per flight creates additional capacity in stronger markets, while simultaneously lowering operational costs.
