Maersk Sealand awarded "Best global shipping line" and "Shipping Line of the Year 2004".
Maersk Sealand awarded "Best global shipping line" and "Shipping Line of the Year 2004" by the Asian Freight and Supply Chain Awards (AFSCA) and the Lloyds Loading List's respectively.
Shippers across Asia have named Maersk Sealand the "Best Global Shipping Line". The award was presented at the Asian Freight and Supply Chain Awards (AFSCA) ceremony held in Hong Kong, 27 April. In addition, Maersk Sealand won trade awards for "Best Shipping Line" in the Asia-Europe and Transpacific trades.
AFSCA is the oldest industry event in Asia. It is organised by Cargonews Asia, which is the largest publication for shippers and the logistics and shipping industry in Asia. The AFSCA nominees and winners are found by polling the readers of Cargonews Asia.
In a different scenario, Maersk Sealand has won also the Lloyds Loading List's award "Shipping Line of the Year 2004". At the award ceremony in London, Maersk Sealand received in total 20 "Star Performer" awards in the following categories:

The "Shipping Line of the Year" and "Customer service" awards were based on a customer poll. The awards for schedule reliability and transit times were based on detailed and independent analysis of schedules and performance by Lloyds Liner Analysis.
