Aliança revises and expands Andes Service Schedule.
Brazilian flag carrier Aliança, has announced changes to its Andes service schedule linking key ports in South America East and West Coast. The revisions, effective in March, include a 9-day sailing frequency at key ports and highly competitive transit times between prime Southern Cone markets on both coasts of South America.
The rotation for the revised service will be Paranagua*, Santos, Montevideo, Valparaiso, Callao, Ilo*, Arica*, Antofagasta*, Valparaiso, Lirquen*, Ushuaia*, Puerto Deseado*, Puerto Madryn, San Antonio Este, Mar del Plata and Paranagua.
Officials said Arica has been added to the schedule to serve Bolivian cargo shipments. Transit time from Santos to Valparaiso will be ten days and to Callao, 14 days. Sailing frequency at prime Patagonian ports is also improved. Aliança's extensive cabotage services provide links to other key Brazilian ports not directly called by the Andes service and to Hamburg Süd and Aliança services linking North America, Europe, the Mediterranean, South Africa and Asia.
Aliança launched the Andes service last April with two 626-TEU ships and then added two more vessels and additional port calls in November.
