CMA CGM and P&O Nedlloyd open a new direct service between the East Coast of USA and the East Coast of South America up to Brasil. The new service will
not perform direct calls at Buenos Aires Port.
CMA CGM and P&O Nedlloyd announced the opening of a new service, named Abex (Americas Bridge Express), connecting the East Coast of USA with the East
Coast of South America.
The service will start at the end of their respective current agreement, which CMA CGM operate today together with the CSAV group and P&O Nedlloyd with the Hamburg Sud group.
As from 5th June 2005, this weekly service dedicated to the Brazilian trade will run 5 ships of about 2500 teus capacity.
The rotation will be as follows: Charleston, Norfolk, New York, Paranagua, San Francisco do Sul, Santos, Rio de Janeiro/Sepetiba, Suape and back to Charleston.
