Air Canada introduces non-stop service between Toronto and Buenos Aires adding to its three weekly flights to Buenos Aires via Santiago, Chile, to offer customers up to six flights per week to the Argentine capital. Air Canada is also boosting its schedule to Sao Paulo, Brazil to daily service from six flights per week beginning December 1, 2004.

The company also inaugurates three times weekly non-stop service between Canada and Peru.

"With the inaugural of Air Canada's non-stop service between Toronto and Lima, we continue to grow our international network linking Latin America with Canada and the rest of the world," said Duncan Dee, Senior VicePresident, Corporate Affairs, in Lima to meet with government and business leaders on the occasion of the inaugural flight. "We are very pleased to support the growth of trade and travel with Peru. Air Canada's expanding network of air service to South America brings added convenience and access for travellers and freight forwarders world wide. "

Air Canada's flights to Lima depart Toronto on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and depart Lima on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The new non-stop service will be operated using 224-seat Boeing 767-300ER aircraft. With southbound flight times of eight hours, travellers will save as much as two hours and 40 minutes off alternate routings requiring connections.

All flights have been timed to offer customers connections at Toronto's Pearson International Airport to and from destinations served by Air Canada throughout its network in Canada, Asia, Europe and the United States.

Since December 2003, Air Canada has inaugurated new routes to Chile, Argentina, Costa Rica, Cuba, Venezuela and Colombia, in addition to Peru.

Air Canada serves 34 destinations in the Caribbean and Latin America including: Antigua, Aruba, Barbados, Grand Cayman, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Kingston, Montego Bay, Nassau, Puerto Plata, San Juan, St. Lucia, St. Martin, Trinidad, Turks & Caicos, Havana, Cayo Coco, Cayo Largo, Holguin, La Romana, Punta Cana, Varadero, Cancun, Cozumel, Ixtapa, Mexico City, Puerto Vallarta, San Jose, Caracas, Bogota, Sao Paulo, Santiago, Buenos Aires and Lima.
