With effect from 1 October 2004, Norbert Bergmann has been appointed Deputy General Manager Commercial of Hamburg Süd Sucursal Argentina in Buenos Aires.

Mr. Bergmann who as from 1999 served as Director and Owners' Representative of Hamburg Süd in Mexico, is responsible for Marketing & Sales and Customer Service in Area Argentina (Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay) and reports to the Regional Management of Region South America East Coast, which is based in São Paulo.

His successor as Owners' Representative in Mexico City is Jörn Baetke, who has been previously responsible as General Manager for Hamburg Süd Peru.
Jörn Baetke reports to the Senior Vice President, Hamburg Süd North America.

Succeeding Jörn Baetke as Joint General Managers of Hamburg Süd Peru with effect from 1 September 2004 are Maria del Carmen Masias (Administration & Logistics) and Carlos José Fabbri (Commercial). Both have held responsible positions for the shipping group in Peru for many years.
