ABX LOGISTICS becomes Global Partner of Lufthansa Cargo. Admission to the Lufthansa freight subsidiary's global partner programme is an important feature of ABX LOGISTICS strategy.

Admission as a Global Partner brings ABX LOGISTICS into the circle of Airfreight forwarding companies handling a substantial part of Lufthansa Cargo's annual volume. 'This nomination fits in our growth strategy' says Hans-Jürgen Schlausch, Head of the ABX LOGISTICS Worldwide Air & Sea Division. 'It is an important step towards our goal of becoming one of the five leading international forwarding companies in the years to come.'

Matthias Oberg has taken up the position of Regional Manager, Latin and South America at ABX LOGISTICS Worldwide.

A German national who has worked for many years in Spanish-speaking countries, Mr. Oberg reports to Managing Director Air & Sea Worldwide, Hans-Jürgen Schlausch. His career in the freight forwarding sector has involved a number of managerial and coordinating posts with companies such as Interspe Hamanngroup, Rhode & Liesenfeld and Schenker Panamericana. Mr. Oberg is currently based in Chile.

ABX LOGISTICS has an extensive customer base in Central and South America. Matthias Oberg's task will be to further strengthen the company in these countries by developing: (1) intra-regional imports and exports, (2) trade lines with Europe, the USA and Asia and (3) the project business sector.
