MOL Launches New Indian Ocean Service - The move improves scheduling between Asia and South America East Coast by eliminating the call at Port Louis on this last MOL's route.
Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. announced the launch of its new Indian Ocean Island Shuttle Service (IOX), provided through a tie-up with P&O Nedlloyd. The company aims to enhance the service by stable scheduling offering direct link from Asia to Port Louis, Reunion, and Tamatave.
MOL previously served these ports with calls at Port Louis on the Asia-South America East Coast route (CSW), with a dedicated feeder ship serving Reunion and Tamatave. The new IOX service offers direct weekly sailings between Singapore, and Port Louis, Reunion, and Tamatave, improving efficiency and convenience for customers.
The move also improves scheduling between Asia and South America East Coast & South Africa by eliminating the call at Port Louis on MOL's CSW route.
The new service, to be developed with four vessels will start departing from Singapur in late September and it's rotation will be: Singapur - Port Louis - Reunion - Tamatave - Port Louis - Singapore.
