TMM Lines has upgraded their website
TMM Lines has launched a new website, with an entirely new design and incorporating new service features, including Routefinder and Schedule Search.
The website, www.tmmlines.com, is dual language - English and Spanish, reflecting TMM commitment to offering the best service to customers throughout traditional markets of Mexico and South America as well as in North America, Europe and Asia.
"The new Routefinder feature makes it easier for our customers to find out which services we offer between the regions they require," explains Juan Manuel Gonzalez, Executive Vice President. "They click on the areas of origin and destination to give them the names of the services we operate on that particular trade lane." Alternatively, you can choose 'View all routes' from the navigation for a full listing of services.
The Schedule Search feature offers real-time schedules, updated immediately a change is made by the operations department, as well as extra information about arrival and departure dates. The Point to Point feature allows clients to select inland origin and destination cities.
To take full advantage of the On Line Services section, company details should be registered on the website. Once registered and a profile created, every time the client log on, all shipments are automatically listed on the personal home page, eliminating the need to type in B/L or container numbers.
"We already offered features such as cargo tracking and rate requests on-line, and printing Bills of Lading via the website has now been extended to include all our customers worldwide," says Mr Gonzalez. "This ability to print Bills of Lading in their own office, using plain paper rather than pre-printed forms, has proved especially popular with our customers.
"More and more of our customers are seeking to manage their shipments via the website, so we are making sure we offer all the facilities they need."
The new website also features a rolling news section, updating customers on the latest upgrades to TMM Lines services, including the recently launched Asia North America Premier service, as well as industry news, such as the latest Canadian security regulations.
TMM Lines started as the liner shipping division of TMM Grupo almost 50 years ago. It became part of CP Ships in 1999 and has expanded rapidly since then.
With its roots in Mexico, TMM Lines has now become more internationally focused, with additional transatlantic and trans-Pacific services as well as north-south services on both the east and west coasts of the Americas. It has also launched services to Africa.
