New Co-Operation: Europe - East Coast South America : P&O Nedlloyd will stop it's independant operations joining the vessel sharing agreement (VSA) formed today by Hamburg Süd, Alianca, CMA-CGM, Hapag-Lloyd and NYK .
As anticipated in transportando.net news 06-02-2004; P&O Nedlloyd confirmed with effect from June 2004 the Europe/East Coast South America Joint Service of Hamburg Süd, Alianca, CMA-CGM, Hapag-Lloyd and NYK and the P&O Nedlloyd service ("Lambada") will be amalgamated into an enlarged co-operation offering three string service to the trade.
The lines will jointly operate a fleet of 16 x 2,500 TEU vessels, of which 10 will be provided by Hamburg Süd, five by P&O Nedlloyd and one by CMA-CGM. The consortium will offer fixed day - thrice weekly services between major ports on East Coast South America and Europe.
The lines are committed to enhancing their combined strengths with respect to port coverage, reliability and reefer capacity so as to offer a service of superior quality.
The Lines involved will in due course provide details of the schedule and the first sailings covering this new combined service.
