LanChile Cargo has selected to join Global Freight Exchange (GF-X), www.gf-x.com - the premier reservations system for the airfreight industry. LanChile Cargo along with its affiliate carriers have a strong presence in Latin America and membership of GF-X will open up significant new opportunities for further expansion of the GF-X system in that region.

LanChile Cargo is working with GF-X to finalise detailed agreements and implementation plans as quickly as possible. The rollout plan is presently being developed and it is expected that LanChile Cargo will launch their program in Miami early next year. "This is an important part of our plan to integrate ourselves with our clients. We expect that GF-X, combined with web based cargo tracking capabilities, e-booking and customs integration will continue to put LanChile as the leader in the Latin American market", said Roberto Bianchi, LanChile Cargo's Senior Vice President Marketing & Sales North America & Asia.

GF-X is attracting an increasing number of members with 5 new carriers, including LanChile Cargo, and 10 new forwarders joining in the last 6 months. LanChile Cargo's commitment brings the total number of carriers using the system to 16 and cements GF-X's position as the leader in the field.
