Safmarine's sales and customer service offices in Argentina and Uruguay will serve as a platform for further growth in the South American market, according to Jens Norgaard, Safmarine's Regional Executive for the Americas.

Last month multi-trade ship owner and operator Safmarine migrated sales, customer service and finance staff from its former third party agency, Navegacion Atlántica, to Safmarine offices in Buenos Aires and Montevideo.

The company believes it is now well-placed to offer customers its range of personalized shipping solutions, including the full range of e-Commerce facilities.

Safmarine, a division of A.P. Moller Group currently offers direct shipping services between the East Coast of South America and the following destinations: Europe, East Coast North America, South Africa/Indian Ocean Island and Middle East/India/Pakistan.Services from South America also extend, via transhipment, to West Africa, East Africa, Australia and the Far East.
