Swiss WorldCargo launches new-look website
With e-business playing an increasingly important role in its overall activities, Swiss WorldCargo has completely revamped its internet website. SWISS's air cargo division has also taken the opportunity to enhance the site with various technical innovations that will make it even easier to use for its visitors.
The swissworldcargo.com website has been redesigned partly to align its appearance to the division's visual identity and partly to help Swiss WorldCargo achieve its overall business objective of providing its customers and business partners with the best possible services. "That's why we took the opportunity offered by the relaunch to expand the information available, enhance the site's functionality and generally make it easier to use," says Regula Pfenniger, the relaunch project leader.
More functional and easier to navigate
The website's home page now offers direct access to the Swiss WorldCargo interactive timetable, to the "Match" online consignment tracking system, to various pages devoted to individual countries and featuring local information, tips and contacts, and to the fuel price index, which is updated on a weekly basis. "We've made a number of permanent enhancements to our online consignment tracking and our interactive timetable in particular," Pfenniger explains. "Both these features are now far easier to navigate and use; and we've greatly improved their browser quality and print functionality, too."
The search function for information, destinations, countries and more has been substantially enhanced; and the new-look site also features a global contact and feedback facility. The swissworldcargo.com website is maintained in German, English and French. In fact, the site offers an effective portrait of Swiss WorldCargo as a whole, providing detailed information on the division's products, services, quality assurance and other activities.
"We want our website to serve as an excellent source of information and a genuine worktool for our customers," Pfenniger concludes. "And that's why we attach so much importance to updating it every day."
