American Airlines has launched AA.com en Español, a Spanish-language website specially tailored to serve the needs of the Latin American market.

Latin American and Caribbean clients will be able to access a wide variety of American Airlines' latest travel information at http://www.aa.com/espanol. The information includes current travel deals, new flight schedules, baggage and security regulations, AAdvantage frequent flyer program special promotions, fleet information, in-flight food and beverage information, and travel tips, among others.

In addition, customers can plan, reserve and purchase electronic tickets through the new Express Ticket Service, a faster, more convenient system which allows customers to hold a reservation booked on AA.com for 24 hours and then complete the transaction by calling a local American Airlines reservations office.

"Through AA.com en Español, we are able to better serve our Latin American clientele by communicating with them in Spanish via the Internet. Close relationships and superior service are cornerstones of our success in Latin America and the Caribbean, and we are delighted to offer this business enhancement throughout the region," said Peter J. Dolara, senior vice-president of American Airlines for Miami, the Caribbean and Latin America.

American, in concert with American Eagle and the AmericanConnection regional carriers, makes up the American Airlines network. Together, they serve more than 250 cities in 41 countries and territories with approximately 4,400 daily flights. The combined network fleet numbers more than 1,100 aircraft. American Airlines is a founding member of the oneworld alliance.

The award-winning American Airlines Web site, http://www.aa.com, is recognized as one of the largest e-commerce sites on the Internet (Media Metrix).
