BDP International Goes Live with Major Upgrade of Paperless Web Documentation Tool.


BDP International (BDP), a leading U.S.-based global logistics and transportation management firm, has deployed a major upgrade of BDPDox, its Web-enabled paperless documentation tool for international shipments.

BDPDoxV2.0 includes significant new capabilities to further improve customer and internal productivity, reduce costs and enhance supply chain velocity of air and ocean export transactions for customers and consignee/receivers.

International documents visible on BDPDoxV2.0 represent one of several customer service tools offered on the BDPCustomer.com portal window powered by Xpedion, BDP's web-based business process and IT infrastructure platform.

BDPCustomer.com provides customers with easy Internet access to a suite of global customer service application tools, relevant transportation/logistics industry links, international time, weather and geographic information, service alerts, and access to other customer knowledge tools.

The BDPDox upgrade greatly enhances documentation and distribution velocity for either system-generated international trade documents or customer-supplied documents. Typical document bundles might include insurance memos, dock receipts, certificates of origin, Customs invoices and BDP Transport bills of lading (freighted or unfreighted). For clients of BDP ocean transportation subsidiary BDP Transport, BDPDoxV2.0 automatically generates and speeds document packages to every destination partner in BDP's Global Network via the Internet. Paperless management and distribution of customer cargo documentation is literally thousands of times faster than the earlier process.

BDPDoxV2.0 complements three other Web customer service tools that BDP released in recent years.
