GT Nexus - formerly known as Tradiant - Gears Up for Business after Successful Pilot - Industry Solution Deployed through a Single Network of Integrated Carriers
GT Nexus, a provider of global e-logistics solutions, today announced the completion of a successful pilot program that was launched on April 2, 2001. Over 120 customers - including importers, exporters and international freight forwarders - participated with over a dozen global transportation carriers in managing their containerized freight through the GT Nexus suite of Web-based applications.
Over 600 users from 120 companies participated in the launch. During this period, over 20,000 shipments were managed and tracked through the network, across origins and destinations in North and South America, Asia, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

The launch provided customers with standardized processes for managing rate requests, booking, documentation exchange and shipment tracking, among other interactions.
All participating customers and carriers will continue to use the system as it is opened to additional participants worldwide.
