VESSEL PHOTOGRAPHS - Buy "or" download free of charge photographs of any type of vessels from the Internet, from amateur taken photos to professional companies selling maritime aerial photography.
You can start at http://www.ship-photos.de - an Internet WEB page devoted to all ship lovers world-wide, all the photos on this site can be downloaded and used for whatever you want, his owner just claim: "please, don't sell them to any other..."
The site belongs to Maik Ebel, a 23 year old student from Bielefeld / Germany, which hobby is photographing ships, collecting facts about ships and ship photos. Since 1992 Maik photograph ships in Cuxhaven (Germany), Rotterdam (Netherlands), Terneuzen (Netherlands) and Antwerp (Belgium).
In November 2000, I had round about 3200 different ships on photo, and round about 5000 photos at all.
This site is devoted to all ship lovers worldwide, and to people who are interested in ships and shipping related stuff.
On the other hand, we can find a WEB site dedicated to selling photographs of vessels, which name is FotoFlite, a company based at Ashford, Kent, offering online picture library.
FotoFlite has a database, which allow you to search to see if they have a picture of the vessel that you may require. They have already scanned over 16,000 images and these can be viewed on screen. FotoFlite offers scanned images of most of their vessels, so that you may view a thumbnail of each image on line, however, since they announce having taken over 500,000 pictures, it will take them a time to complete the whole collection.
When you find the picture that you are looking for, if you wish to do so, you are able to place an order for your copy by fax or mail.
FotoFlite, at http://www.fotoflite.com , the so-called World's Largest Library of Maritime Aerial Photography acquired Skyfotos in 1990, and count on today with a combined library of ship photographs exceeding 1/2 million aerial images.
