Kuehne & Nagel, Premier global logistics provider selects the ocean portal INTTRA to connect customers, carriers and logistics providers on a uniform platform.

INTTRA (www.inttra.com), the leading provider of B2B ocean freight services, announced it has been selected by Kuehne & Nagel International AG (www.kuehne-nagel.com), one of the world's leading logistics groups, as its Web-based ocean-going transportation portal of choice. Kuehne & Nagel joins INTTRA as a logistics provider and has committed to use INTTRA for its full container load shipments. Ken Bloom, Chief Executive of INTTRA said, "We are pleased that an industry leader like Kuehne & Nagel has elected to join the INTTRA network. This selection marks a major milestone in INTTRA's mission to provide a transparent and efficient portal to the ocean-going supply chain community. INTTRA's non-exclusive, open portal provides more options to shippers - more choices of carriers, schedules and services - and the addition of a marquee logistics provider such as Kuehne & Nagel validates our vision for a worldwide solution.

Klaus Herms, Chief Executive of Kuehne & Nagel said, "We believe the industry is best served by a neutral, industry backed portal. We determined that INTTRA is the portal for the industry, providing the best portal to link us to the leading carriers, and support our goal of giving our customers easy visibility of everything that happens in the supply chain 24 x 7 worldwide access to data.

INTTRA's Web-based portal enables shippers, freight forwarders, third party logistics providers, brokers, importers and industry portals to manage the booking and tracking of cargo across multiple shipping lines in a single integrated process. The INTTRA solution will deliver cost savings by directly connecting carriers, logistics providers and customers. Kuehne & Nagel plans to complete implementation during Q4 2001.

The INTTRA solution is designed to go beyond just port-to-port - it standardizes and supports door-to-door ocean transport services for customers of the participating carriers and logistics providers.

Kuehne & Nagel joins INTTRA along with ocean carriers including: Alianca, ANL, CMA CGM, Columbus Line Inc., Crowley American Transport Line, Hamburg Süd, Hapag-Lloyd, Maersk Sealand, MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A., P&O Nedlloyd and Safmarine Container Lines N.V
