CargoSmart, the Internet portal has been selected by COSCO Container Lines and MISC to Provide Shippers with One-Stop Access to Carrier Information.

CargoSmartT (www.cargosmart.com), a supply chain visibility portal that provides shippers with one-stop access to transit information around the globe, announced that it has signed Memorandum(s) of Understanding (MOU) with two of the world's leading carriers, COSCO Container Lines (COSCON) and MISC, to add them to its portal. The deals mark an important milestone for CargoSmart in achieving its mission to provide shippers with access to transit information from multiple carriers worldwide."COSCON and MISC have joined already participating carrier OOCL as premier members of our service," said Joseph O'Brien, Director of Marketing at CargoSmart. "Since our launch in October last year we have grown our customer base to over 500 companies who log onto our service an average of over 8000 times per month and in addition receive customized proactive email notifications on all shipment transactions.

By providing one-stop access to information from three of the world's most frequently used carriers, the CargoSmart service can now help shippers streamline their business operations and save valuable time. The service provides carriers' customers with real-time shipping details, international sailing schedules, shipment event-driven notifications, tariff information and online booking processing.

"Joining this growing network of carriers is a strategic move for our business," said Ms. Ye Qingyuan, Deputy Manager of E-Commerce Department at COSCON. "Providing our customers with the ability to review the supply chain process from one place will increase their efficiency levels, reduce their administrative costs and enhance their level of satisfaction with our service."

"What attracted us to working with CargoSmart is the customer service enhancements we can offer to our shippers combined with up-to-the-minute tracking information," said Abdul Aziz Meor Ngah, Senior General Manager, Liner Logistic Business Unit at MISC. "Making shipping information visible to our customers at the click of a button will provide us with a competitive edge."

CargoSmart's recently announced partnership with Hewlett-Packard has now been implemented to ensure that CargoSmart's multiple-carrier customer data is kept completely private and secure. Hewlett-Packard will host all of CargoSmart's data and provide customers with a 24-hour multi-lingual help desk.
