Maersk Sealand announced that in light of the recent events and developments in Argentina and due to the new government continues the strict economical measures and international transfer of funds remains interrupted, until further notice all freight sent collect to Argentina or shipped from Argentina is being required to be paid in U.S. Dollars. All shipments effective as from January 3 are required to be paid outside of Argentina.

Investigations in the market result in that majority of other shipping lines are proceeding in similar way.

Government has imposed a new Bank and exchange holiday for yesterday and today , expecting to re establish exchange operations as from next Wednesday 9, for which no news on this issue are expected for next days.
